I spent a lot of time working in a cube farm, which was not as awful as it sounds, because I liked my co-workers and I was allowed to use my iPod at work to drown out noise (I was a copywriter and needed to focus on the words, not the doors slamming or throat clearings around me). So here's a look at my space.

I know I've mentioned before I'm like a sunflower. I follow the sun throughout my house. So where I work varies by the time of day and season.
This is my office, where I work in the summer and some winter afternoons. I love this room because it has big windows and a fireplace that turns on at the flip of switch. I also leave my electric foot warmer on the ergonomic foot rest in my office. My kids gave it to me one Christmas because they got tired of hearing me complain about my cold feet. Also, it's at the top of my house, so when I need a coffee refill, I have to take a walk to get some.

Most winter mornings I spent huddled under a blanket on my very comfortable sofa. I love having the sunlight on me as I'm writing. I put on a music channel of some sort and go to town writing. This is also the one spot in my house where I must sit to finish a book. Go figure!
Which brings me to my editing spot. Editing is torture and I always feel like I need to pay my dues. Not that sitting at my kitchen counter is a hardship, But the chair is hard. For some reason, it helps me to focus on what I'm doing. It's a wonder I can ignore the dirty dishes usually sitting around on the counter (I cleaned when I knew you were coming over today).
