I'm very excited about this week's challenge from Jo Richardson to write a piece of flash fiction, based on a gif from We Heart It. It's entitled Long, Slow Kiss. We were to keep the word count at 300 or less. My mind was in an odd place and I choose to tell the story from the Point Of View of the lips. Are you intrigued?
At the first caress of the manly lips, excitement began to well up in me like a cool mountain spring, blurbling effervescently. I soften and tease in return; clinging to the mouth the way a baby clings to a parent’s finger. Wind has chapped the lips and the rough texture incites me to suckle and soothe away the minor sting that must accompany the motion. I don’t mind the prickly feel, because I find even the tiny cracks add to the elation that comes from another mouth pressed against me.
I move underneath the feverish onslaught, pressure building until I open. Tingling flits over me as the slightly rough texture of the tongue slides past me seeking the warmth I hide within. I tighten around it, encircling the love muscle playing within the confines behind me, creating delicious suction. A slight popping noise accents the air around us as the lips pressed seductively against me pull away. My hyper-sensitive nerve endings have transmitted signals to the brain controlling me, urging me to chase after the mouth retreating from me for another taste. I’m pleasantly swollen from the blood vessels expanding within me, my nerve receptors activated by hormones I can’t control. Nor do I want any mastery over them. Not when the sweet peppermint taste lingers on me, even after we’re parted.
There really is nothing like a long, slow kiss to make a pair of lips feel well loved.
